Nurse practitioner is an advanced registered nurse educated and trained to provide health promotion and maintenance through the diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and chronic condition.
Our Practice Nurse team currently consists of 1 Nurse Practitioner and 2 Practice Nurses who are highly trained and qualified. They work very closely with the doctors and are trained to do an extensive number of procedures and tests. They may work along with the doctors on new patient assessments,etc. You may book directly with them for such services as routine blood pressure checks, cholesterol tests and medical advice via the doctor.
Qualified in 1995 - AMSPAR Diploma in Practice Management. Awarded Best Practice Manager 2005 from the RCGP - Languages: English, French The Practice Manager/ Business Manager/Registered Manager provides leadership and management skills to enable the practice to meet its agreed aims and objectives within a profitable, efficient, safe and effective working environment. She is responsible for the smooth running of the practice and maintaining a happy and committed team. She would be happy to hear your views and suggestions about the services offered by the practice.
All our staff are there to help you and are pleased to do so. The receptionists are your link with the rest of the practice. They may need to ask you medical details in order to work effectively and at all times are working under the instructions of the doctors. All information given to them is treated in confidence and they are bound by the same code of conduct as the doctors and nurses. The more information you are able to give to the girls, the better they will be able to assist you. It is a difficult and demanding job - please be patient and courteous to our staff at all times.
