TELEPHONE: We have identified issues with our telephone system which we are looking to address by implementing a new one. Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.


If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Face to Face Appointment

Urgent/same day appointment

These appointment are used for medically urgent cases which cannot wait till next routing appointment.  Patients are advised to call the surgery from 8.30 am  for the morning session and 2.30 pm for the afternoon session. Prior to booking these appointments practice staff will ask the reason for this appointment and it would help if patients could inform he receptionist of the nature of the appointment required.

Routine Appointment (pre-booked)

These are available to be booked up to 4 weeks in advance.

Telephone Consultations

It may not always be necessary to have a face to face appointment with doctors and nurses but they make themselves available to speak to patients on the telephone during the course of the day.  if you wish to speak to a clinician on the telephone please provide a number where you can be contacted.  If your phone does not accept calls from a withheld number please provide an alternative contact number for us to use.

If the call is urgent the receptionist will ask the doctor/nurse to call the patient as soon as possible. Please make sure that the practice has your correct contact details including your mobile number and email address.


We now offer E-Consults as part of our service. It is an online service separate from Patient Access where you can use to get advice from the doctor, self-help information or any help with administrative request such as sick note or test results. Please follow this link:

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.  Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
